Integrated at Work (IAW) completed a challenging and dynamic project for the Microsoft New England Research & Development Center (NERD), located in the innovative Kendall Square district of Cambridge, MA.

Renovations centered around evolving out of an isolated 100% private office environment, into a more modern, open, and mobile space.  Keeping this in mind, IAW offered several uniquely tailored product solutions for enhancing transparency and increasing versatility.

IAW installed over 2,500 LF of the Haworth Trivati modular wall system. Trivati offers the highest levels of quality and performance and provides the ultimate in space planning freedom.

As a demountable wall system, Trivati offers a flexible long-term solution for changing environments. Its adaptable design ensures interchangeability and reuse, saving installation time and costs and eliminating unnecessary waste.  In an open office environment, sound transmission is of vital importance and Trivati delivers the best acoustical privacy in the market, earning even higher STC ratings than traditional drywall and other demountable wall systems.

IAW solutions also included an interior glass and glazing package including entryway doors, whiteboards, customized back-painted glass, and bathroom mirrors.

We are proud to announce that the Sasaki-designed Microsoft NERD Center won Best Workspace Over 80,000 square feet at the annual International Interior Design Association New England (IIDA NE) Design Awards for 2019. Congratulations to the entire Microsoft project team!
